It’s been a full year since London-based event management agency Eventify burst onto the venue sourcing and event management scene.
The business was founded by Samantha Burton and Rebecca Thomas; two colleagues, best friends and now business partners.
With over 15 years’ experience between them in managing events in some of London’s most famous venues, Eventify offers a full event management service for its growing client base as well as an exciting free venue finding service.
For venues themselves, Eventify offer consulting services to improve and streamline event management processes and help deliver business driving results.
Eventify provide event management services that cater for a broad repertoire of event types such as conferences, parties, award ceremonies, weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs, networking events, Christmas parties and more – allowing their clients as much support as they need or as little as they want.
In year one, Eventify have spent their time first and foremost building up a client base but also visiting a different London venue every week. The product of this is their #venueview of the week across their social channels (@eventifyuk on Instagram and Twitter), which provides an overview of the places they’ve visited – very handy for event managers or PAs looking for their next private dining venue or party setting.
“If you have a passion – definitely [launch your own business]!” said Samantha Burton, Director & Co-founder at Eventify. “What’s the worst that can happen? You need to consider your funding and make sure you can survive without a regular income (for the first few months) but honestly the risk is worth it. It could work wonderfully and you’ll never look back!”
“The unknown can be overwhelming – you can have all the confidence, passion, determination and drive in the world, but it might just not work,” Rebecca Thomas, Director & Co-founder at Eventify. “Our tip on succeeding in driving an events business however, is to ensure you can secure a core group of dedicated clients that work with you on regular bookings.”
Eventify celebrated their first birthday by throwing an exclusive party in central London for their clients, key suppliers and venue partners.
“We are really excited for what the next year holds for Eventify,” said Burton. “Our biggest high during year one has been securing an amazing celebrity wedding. It’s one of the most exciting and detailed events we’ve ever planned and something to get our teeth into. This was one of the first events we acquired that got the creative juices flowing again!”
