ExCeL London details new meeting solution

Exhibition and convention centre ExCeL London has outlined its new training and meeting facility, CentrEd at ExCeL.

After its grand opening in January 2016, the space has been designed to cement ExCeL’s reputation as a home of world-leading events, with an ambition to be the number one choice in the UK for any type of event.

The facility boasts 29 training rooms for 20 to 400 delegates, a private entrance and reception area, dockside balcony access. Internet stations and business services and complimentary wi-fi.

In addition, lounges with unlimited tea and coffee are also available, as well as a waterfront self-service restaurant and access to a variety of options for after-hours including team building and BBQs on the dock.

“With the continued investment in London’s transport infrastructure, ExCeL represents a destination that’s easy for people to reach and do business in,” said James Rees, executive director of ExCeL London.

“With training and learning, we believe offering the right environment is key. We are able to provide delegates with a one-of-a kind space within London. One that’s easily accessible and conducive to learning, with access to green spaces and fresh air, alongside the tranquil, waterside setting of Royal Victoria Dock. We believe CentrEd at ExCeL provides all the right ingredients to deliver a complete meeting experience.”

Since opening in November 2000, ExCeL London has played host to more than 5,000 events from congresses, AGMs and product launches to exhibitions, examinations and sporting events, including playing a pivotal role in the 2012 London Olympics.
