Friday fun: Facebook’s feel-good interview question

Facebook is among the elite companies to ask strange questions during interviews, with some technology candidates asked to create codes and algorithms to perform difficult tasks. But through all its head-scratchers, the social media firm has thought up one that makes everyone smile.

“Tell me about your very best day at work.”

Did that make the corners of your mouth lift up? Interviewees are reportedly asked to talk about what they did on that day to make it the best.

Facebook’s Global Head of Recruiting Miranda Kalinowski says it’s a great way to find out what the candidate is passionate about. Vice President of People Operations Lori Goler adds that it helps the company discover what the potential hire loves about their job and how that fits in with Facebook’s ethos.
