Hampton Court Palace launches hospitality packages for Real Tennis Champions Trophy 2019

Hampton Court Palace has launched hospitality packages at this year’s Real Tennis Champions Trophy, which runs from 16-21 July.

Taking place at Hampton Court Palace for the third consecutive year, the tournament welcomes the world’s greatest players to participate on the Royal Tennis Court at the palace, one of fewer than fifty real tennis courts in the world still in use and a designated National Monument.

New for 2019 are two exclusive hospitality packages, offering spectators a unique chance to soak up the action while enjoying the palace’s incredible setting. Guests can opt to enjoy an al fresco English Summer Luncheon within the private walled garden of the Royal Tennis Court, or move into the palace for a classic Afternoon Tea in the Albemarle Suite overlooking the Great Fountain Garden.

Both options include a welcome drink, a guided tour of the palace and tickets to watch the Real Tennis matches. Exclusive Private Palace Tours are also available for guests to enjoy outside of opening hours, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind experience without missing any of the Real Tennis action.

Liz Young, Head of Events at Historic Royal Palaces, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the Real Tennis Champions Trophy for the third year running, welcoming back what proves every year to be an energetic and popular event. The Royal Tennis Court has seen over 400 years of sporting drama, so it is fantastic to continue opening its doors as well as offering guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of the palace with our exclusive hospitality offerings.

“In addition to witnessing some exhilarating action, guests enjoying these packages will play their part in ensuring the palace continues to be well maintained and open for all to enjoy as income raised from commercial activities is reinvested in conservation, public access and educational activities.”

The tournament kicks off with qualifying rounds on 16 July, before Champions Trophy matches start on 17 July. It will culminate in a grand final on 21 July, which will see two players battle it out on the Royal Tennis Court to lift the 2019 Real Tennis Champions Trophy.

Tickets to the English Summer Luncheon are £95+VAT per person and tickets to the Palace Afternoon Tea are £160+VAT per person (minimum guest numbers apply).
