    • 0

It has been announced that the inaugural Hire Space Awards are set to take place at Landing Forty Two at the Leadenhall Building on 24 October.

The awards celebrate the best of the events industry by recognising and rewarding hard working, innovative and forward-thinking venues and event bookers from across the UK.

The evening will draw 200 events industry professionals to Landing Forty Two, London’s highest dedicated events space. The event will feature a three-course luxury meal courtesy of Moving Venue, live music and entertainment to be announced.

The event will be hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis, star of BBC shows Mock the Week and Outnumbered, and host of Radio 4’s The Now Show.

Hire Space Event Producer Felicity Cator said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our first awards ceremony at Landing Forty Two. It’s a hugely popular venue with our clients, with first-rate hospitality to match the views. It should be a memorable night for the events industry.”

The Hire Space Awards celebrate innovation and quality of service in the industry, with categories including Modern Marketing, Modern Sales, Popular Venues and Progressive Venues. The night will also feature a brand-new Unsung Hero award for the professional with the biggest hidden impact on the events industry in 2017, and two separate awards for professional event-booking teams.

The deadline for nominations is 26 July. The winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and announced live on the night.

Tarek Gjonnes, Managing Director of Venue Lab, operator of Landing Forty Two, said: “Landing Forty Two presented by Venue Lab, London’s highest dedicated event space, is delighted to be hosting the inaugural Hire Space awards this October. I’m looking forward to learning about other ground-breaking new venues from across the UK at the awards.“

The Hire Space Awards are taking place on the last night of EventLAB 2017, Hire Space’s two-day event for professional event organisers focused on discovery and learning in the modern events industry.
