International Confex to kick off with ‘brand love letter’ to the industry

International Confex

International Confex will kick off with ‘a love letter to the industry’ from some of the key brands working in events, including PlayStation, Innocent and Macmillan. Jamie Sterry, Brand Planning & Strategy at innocent drinks UK; Isabelle Adams, European Events Manager, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe; and Elizabeth Quill, Challenge Events Programme Manager, Macmillan Cancer Support, will all take to the keynote stage on the first day of International Confex.

The session, part of the ILEA ‘fuelled by’ series, will set the tone of the conference by hearing a view from the companies that finance major events of every kind, from charity fund raisers to brand activations, from exhibitions to major conferences. Jamie, Isabelle and Elizabeth will talk about the pressures that they face as brand marketers working in 2017. They will also send a love letter to the industry as they talk about how working with event agencies and the wider industry is helping them achieve their own objectives.

“This will be a real stand-out session for the conference and it’s only right that these guys are first up at Confex,” comments Liz Agostini, Event Director of International Confex. “We have a large amount of visitors from the corporate events sector and one of their main reasons to come to the event is to share experiences with their peers. This will be a great start to their day.”

The session will be chaired by Mellissa Noakes, Experiential Marketing Expert and founder of Elevate, the industry’s mentoring programme, and will be entitled ‘The Brand View’ (10am-10.40am at the Keynote Theatre on day one of International Confex). The conference programme will continue apace with James Heappey, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events, taking to the stage afterwards.

International Confex is co-located with this year’s office* show, taking place 1-2 March at Olympia London. To find out more or to register, visit international-confex.com.
