LCS posts record breaking year, reveals future plans

Venue consortium London City Selection (LCS) has posted a record year, while offering a sneaky peek into its plans for the future.

2019 has seen three events on the LCS calendar; Most recently, the Big City Site Visit, which saw buyers and agents given an insightful and inspiring tour of the City and some of its finest event spaces.

Guests were shown around Trinity House, America Square, Furniture Makersโ€™ Hall, The HAC, Museum of London, ETC Venues St Pauls, Citadines Barbican, 58VE, Paintersโ€™ Hall and Skinnersโ€™ Hall.

The event had a record number of registered attendees and feedback suggests a fantastic day was had by all. Irena Goldwag from Frontpage Events said: “[It was a] really excellent selection of modern, purpose-built venues and some glorious livery halls, very worthwhile and enjoyable day.”

The second event was the highly-anticipated annual fam trip – entitled The Greatest Gameshow โ€“ and was the consortiumโ€™s biggest and best yet. Held back in March, the event hosted 18 buyers boasting a combined spending power of around ยฃ4.2 million. Eight member venues opened their doors to entertain LCSโ€™s guests during the day and 27 members showcased their offer at the exhibition.

Thirdly, the LCS AGM, which had four times as many members attend than in the previous year, making 2019 a record-breaker for member engagement. Discussion at the meeting focussed on goals and events for the next 12 months. As well as the new board being announced in the coming weeks, buyers and agents should also keep an eye out for the Big Reveal for next yearโ€™s fam tripโ€™s theme and dates.

Invitations will also be winging their way to the 2020 guestlistโ€ฆ With 25 renewals and five new members (99 City Road, Crowne Plaza Kings Cross, The Montcalm London City, Southwark Cathedral and etc.venue 133 Houndsditch) LCS says itโ€™s going to be one to remember.
