London Christmas Party survey reveals market trends

The results of Venue Search London’s Christmas party survey have shown the latest trends amongst more than 250 corporate buyers inside the M25. Undertaken in partnership with The London Christmas Party Show, the survey showed that 93% of buyers have booked or had approval for their 2017 party, with 29% of buyers anticipating an increase in guest numbers.

Last year, more than a quarter of buyers spent over £100 per guest with the average spend per head reaching £86 +VAT. The enduring popularity of holding London Christmas parties on Thursday and Friday nights is also evident with 78% of evening parties opting for these peak nights.

“This creates a real challenge for both buyers and venues,” said Rosalind Shelley from Venue Search London. “With most companies looking to book the four key dates in the middle of December, venues must discount their prices to attract more off-peak day parties and buyers should look to these Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the best value.”
