Manchester’s EventCity resumes live events

Venue Lab has unveiled a partnership with Peel L&P to re-activate EventCity and join its nationwide event venue portfolio.

As one of the most instantly recognisable and respected large-scale event centres in the UK, it is now available to hire for conferences, awards, gala dinners, exhibitions, brand events, concerts, product launches and filming.

Located in TraffordCity, Manchester, this legacy venue has hosted a vast variety of previous events such as the Ideal Home Show, The National Wedding Show and the Caravan and Motorhome Show to name a few.

EventCity is the North’s largest, blank canvas multi-purpose event venue, with a combined area of 28,000 square metres across four flexible halls, a playground for event organisers and location scouts alike. The halls can be hired individually and exclusively, with meeting rooms and organiser offices also available. There is car parking on-site as well as convenient transport links to the centre of Manchester and beyond.

The venue is renowned for its branding opportunities with the ability to wrap EventCityโ€™s windows, perfect for clients wanting to make their mark on this historic and sought-after location.

Simon Tracey, COO, Broadwick Group, said: โ€œPartnering with Peel L&P is an incredible opportunity and I am looking forward to seeing EventCity re-activated and welcoming people safely through its doors once again.โ€

Jemma Scott, newly appointed as Head of Agency at Venue Lab, added: โ€œI am beyond excited to be adding this incredible venue to our portfolio and thrilled that it is our second space in Manchester. Venue Lab are the market leaders in reviving spaces and growing them into thriving event venues whilst delivering exceptional experiences for our clients.โ€

Director of Facilities & Asset Management at Peel L&P, Paul Chappel, said: โ€œWeโ€™re really pleased that Venue Lab has come on board to allow quality events to continue at EventCity up until early 2022 when work will start on Therme Manchester at TraffordCity. As restrictions have eased, weโ€™ve seen that people want to enjoy events again in a safe environment and weโ€™re confident that Venue Lab will be able to offer a great leisure attraction at EventCity and weโ€™re excited about the opportunities to work with them across more of our developments.โ€
