Managing the relationship with your executive can be a difficult task if you donโ€™t have the right tools. Adam Fidler strives to provide PAs with everything they need to be more effective in their jobs during his interactive session at the next PA Life Training Day.

Adamโ€™s session follows on from the popularity of his appearance at previous Training Days. โ€˜Maximising and managing the relationship with your executiveโ€™ continues to instil confidence and self-belief in PAs by giving them the strategies and tools to be more effective. In this interactive seminar, Adam introduces concepts that continue to push the role into middle management, providing a tool kit and ideas for practical application in the office, as well as strategies for personal effectiveness outside of work.

The session covers the following key topics:

  • Managing upwards to maximise your impact, presence and profile at work
  • Executive presence for PAs. Why this is key and how you to enhance your โ€˜gravitasโ€™
  • Earning trust and respect
  • Managers and leaders. Whatโ€™s the difference? Where does the PA fit in? How you can help your manager be a better leader
  • The PA competency model โ€“ the โ€˜whatโ€™ and the โ€˜howโ€™. Itโ€™s all about behaviours
  • A model for success โ€“ the โ€˜ABC and Dโ€™ of a successful working partnership with your executive
  • Next steps and ideas for implementation when you get back in the office.
