One Great George Street hosts summer soirée for event professionals

One Great George Street last week hosted a summer showcase attended by over 150 corporate buyers, preferred agents and local venues to showcase its facilities, flexibility and award winning in-house catering team.

Approximately 20 acts were provided by Blank Canvas Entertainment for the showcase, with guests arriving to a red carpet and greeted by ‘paparazzi photographers’, followed by an array of visual interactive acts.

Grecian stilt walkers entertained guests by feeding them golden dipped chocolate grapes, with ballerinas dancing and a silhouette artist making cut outs of them. Meanwhile, the ‘Iris Artist’ act used patented technology to capture ultra-high resolution images of a guest’s eyes, then used image editing software to isolate the iris and enhance details to produce a perfect quality print for guests to take away.

Attendees also enjoyed a menu of bowl food and canapés – one of which was the venue’s Head Chef’s famous mini beef wellington canapés which are served with horseradish hollandaise. An innovative fun interactive Shawarma station also went down a treat along with a flow of exotic summer cocktails, Prosecco and wines.

Mid-way through the evening the venue’s very own dynamic duo – Jonathan Chohan & Jayna Patel (Business Development Managers) gave a speech thanking everyone for attending in what was one of the hottest days of the year and for making the soirée such a fun and exciting night.

Staff were on hand to show guests around the opulent Great Hall, fully equipped Telford Theatre auditorium and traditional State Rooms.

After the speeches, the Trio of musician played till the end with carriages at 8:30pm.
