PA Life readers reveal if they are battering their credit card

Our avid readers have responded to a Twitter poll asking if they are often falling into their overdraft at the end of the month.
poll

After a study discovered that millions of Brits feel like they are living beyond their means, and their salaries aren’t lasting until the end of the month, 43 per cent of you revealed that your salaries just aren’t cutting it.

In addition, 43 per cent of you only use the plastic every now and then to ensure you avoid any unwanted bills at the end of the month.

In comparison, 14 per cent of you remain very strict throughout the month and never use your credit card.

In the article earlier this week, Vantage Leasing’s James Buttrick, said: “It’s a sad fact that most of us are familiar with the feeling of purse strings tightening as pay day fades into a distant memory. When funds are running dry, most Brits have a fall-back set up which they can plunder as needed, but this shouldn’t be seen as a long-term solution to cash flow problems.

“Many of us could take a look at our lives and endeavour to make smarter money choices going forward to keep our spending habits in check, curbing spontaneous, big-ticket purchases for more sensible payment plans.”
