PA Life readers reveal the most embarrassing part of the office Christmas Party

Our readers responded to a recent Twitter Pollย asking users what they found the most embarrassing about the office Christmas party, with the answer revealing a two-way tie.

For 42%, or around two in five were split between office hook-ups and the dreaded morning after. Most Christmas parties take place on a weekday with work the next day, yet that doesn’t stop a majority of our respondents worrying about their head and the aftermath when they walk into the office the morning after.

Alcohol was a leading factor for embarrassing situations, according to the poll, something to keep in mind when heading to your own Christmas party this month.

“Just because the booze is free, it does not mean you need to drink it all,” Curated Digital’s Enya Collins wrote last month. “Losing all inhibition and gossiping to various coworkers is probably not going to leave you feeling very good the following morning, nor leave a good impression on your colleagues.”

Although the alcohol is normally free, we’re rarely so lucky when it comes to travel, with recent studiesย revealing that nearly a quarter of Brits have ended up between 50 and 100 miles out of their way after falling asleep on a train, and employees are expected to be set back ยฃ200 after Christmas celebrations this year.

Of course, those who attended our PA Life Christmas party didn’t experience anything of the sort, and you can check out both our photo gallery and Photobooth picturesย to relive the evening’s festivities!
