Training Day ends on a high note

As we come to the close of the third successful PA Life Training Day, I’d like to reflect on some of the great lessons I’ve learned from PA trainer practitioner Adam Fidler.

Adam’s final session on Effective boss/PA routines taught us that management assistants always have a choice when it comes to their future. There are ways to make your current situation work for you and one of the best ways to work more effectively with your boss is to take charge of your structure and routines.

He always gave us some great advice on how to have difficult conversations with our bosses by striving to be assertive, or adult. We need to think about what we want to say to our manager and ensure we?re in the right state of mind before sitting down for the meeting.

We’d like to say a special thank you to the PA Life Training Day headline sponsor, black cab-booking company Gett. The company was kind enough to sponsor lunch and refreshments throughout the day, as well as included a special gift in our goodie bags. Members of the Gett team were on hand throughout the event to talk to attendees about how its booking service can help PAs who handle transport for their bosses.

Our next PA Life Training Day on 12 November will be filled with lots of interesting content aimed at helping PAs achieve more in their working lives. For more information, visit palife.co.uk/trainingday, email trainingcourses@palife.co.uk, or call Jack on 01992 374064.
