Penelope Alice has festive fun at BMA House

Cake decorating at BMA House

I love a good Christmas shindig, so I couldn’t turn down the chance to join my fellow PA Life readers for an evening of festive cheer and a few holiday tipples at BMA House.

The venue was beautifully decked out in all its Christmas gear; it really is a lovely sight to see at night, especially the fantastic courtyard. As usual, the team treated us like royalty – plenty of drinks and cocktails to go around, delicious bowl food from caterer Ampersand and a bit of festive jubilations in the form of a wonderful singer.

During the night we had the chance to compete in a fairy cake-decorating contest – although I found the real competition to be resisting the urge to eat my creation before it could be judged. To top it all off we went home with a fabulous goody bag.

BMA House is a Grade II-listed building in central London’s fashionable and historic Bloomsbury. Home to the prestigious British Medical Association, BMA House was designed in 1911 by the famed architect Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Highly accessible, the venue has a superb location just a short walk from Euston, Russell Square and King’s Cross stations – ideal when you have delegates coming from across the UK.

Offering 29 unique event spaces, including two stunning private outdoor areas, BMA House has the versatility to act as the setting for a wide range of events for up to 320 guests, including conferences, dinners, private parties, receptions and weddings.

Check it out yourself at bmahouse.org.uk.
