Penelope Alice’s date at Mahiki

Polynesian for ?Path to the Underworld?, Mahiki in Mayfair is a Polynesian Paradise with an A-list celebrity and royal following.

It first opened its doors in 2005 as the brainchild of Piers Adam, David Phelps and Nick House, and has grown to become one of the world?s most famous night spots as well as an institution, with an array of awards behind it.

On Tuesday 4th August, PA Life invited 50 PAs through its doors for a fun-filled evening of cocktails, canapes and networking.

A source for just about every tiki trinket, Mahiki aims to transport you to ?paradise? no matter the weather. Honolulu Honey?s, tropical flowers and Tiki d?cor ? it certainly offers quirky escapism from the bustling streets of London.

Guests enjoyed exotic fresh fruit concoctions mastered up by the international team of mixologists, light bites and the world famous theatrical treasure chests. Served for eight people in a real treasure chest ? this tipple is not one to be taken lightly. Think brandy, peach liqueur shaken with lime and sugar, topped off nicely with a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne.

Boasting an extensive drinks menu (one must try the Bikini Blast which is served in an atomic watermelon with a flaming shot), Mahiki is aptly regarded as the ultimate destination for cocktail lovers, dinner, birthday celebrations and office parties. Top DJs playing floor-filler classics will have you up dancing in no time.

Word to the wise, they have a no guest list policy so arrive early or make sure you make a booking in order to miss the queues.

*Thursdays between 10-12pm is happy hour for ladies ? a must for the diary.
