As I write this I am on my third coffee of the day ? how come you may ask?

Well last night I experienced the full hospitality of the ETM Group ? the fabulous hosts of our exclusive ?Gastro Gallop? evening – which consisted of four PA Club members visiting four ETM venues and sampling a different course at each.

ETM are one of London?s most renowned pub and restaurant groups ? their venues are a mixture of smart City gastros, contemporary brasseries, bars and cozy neighbourhood pubs and are ideal for business lunches, relaxed dinners and private parties.

The exciting itinerary began with a welcome glass of bubbly at The Gun ? a gastro pub located in the Docklands, right on the river, looking out over the O2. Starters, the first course of the evening was enjoyed at One Canada Square, the modern European restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Canary Wharf. Mains followed, washed down with a velvety four-grape red, courtesy of The White Swan – think white linen, chunky chairs and wood panelling. We were then shown around Chiswell Street Dining Room and The Jugged Hare before heading onto our final destination of the night for dessert at the new Botanist in Broadgate, which opened in April this year. Bragging a spacious outdoor terrace, the new venture provides al fresco dining in the heart of Liverpool Street. The night ended with dancing in the Soda Room – their funky subterranean club.
