Prince’s former PA still reeling from his death

A former personal assistant to Prince is still baffled by his sudden passing, saying he was healthy. She also claims she never saw him take any drugs while she worked for him.

Mariah Brown was the late singer’s assistant until last year and says he didn’t even drink the whole time she knew him. “He was a very, very healthy person,” she explained in an article from the Associated Press. “The whole death didn’t make sense to me.”

Brown says her main duties were bringing the artist food, buying his clothes and taking care of everyday admin tasks. “My experience with him was phenomenal; he’s like no other. It was magical,” she comments.

She says Prince was rarely alone while she was at his house; if he wasn’t working on his music with his band, he was spending hours talking to Brown and his friends.

His death shocked her and she has spent the days since wondering how the lively person she knew could pass so unexpectedly. “It hurts my heart because I don’t know the story,” she says. She plans to stay away from social media due to the gossip surrounding Prince’s death.

The singer was sadly found dead on 21 April and while toxicology reports won’t be released for weeks, investigators say they are looking into whether he was the victim of an overdose and if he had been prescribed pills by his doctor in the weeks before his passing.
