Last week the PA Life Star Awards took place and Chris Holland was awarded PA Life Club Member of the Year 2020.
Chris is currently an Executive Assistant at Nimrod Capital LLP, but has experience working for a variety of organisations such as the NHS and financial institutions. Having worked in a range of roles from Office Junior to Executive Secretary, Chris has been with PA Life Club since the start and is a fantastic ambassador.
PA Life spoke with Chris to find out more about her experience and how she felt about winning PA Life Club Member of the Year 2020…
What’s the best thing about your job?
I am not a number. I am an integral part of the team. Three of us have known each other for 19 years so it is like a family.
And the most challenging?
Working for a small company, you have to be “jack of all trades” and “not afraid to get your hands dirty”. This is where membership of the PA Life Club helps as there is community you can call upon to ask for advice if you cannot find the answer straightaway.
What inspired you to join the PA Life Club?
I remember attending a PA Life event at, what was then, The Grange Hotel at St Paul’s and then a couple of months later joining PA Life Club at a launch event at The PA Show.
What’s your favourite part about being a club member?
Opportunities to meet with other PAs and listening to their experiences. Also, the chance to gain first-hand experience of venues and different suppliers.
How did you feel when you won PA Life Club Member of the Year 2020?
Wow, couldn’t believe it as it was also my birthday that day.
