Qatar airways increases capacity on Manchester to Doha route

Qatar Airways will introduce two additional frequencies between Doha and Manchester from 2nd May 2016, providing customers with even more convenient connections when transferring onto services to Asia, Australia and beyond via Doha’s state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport.

The additional flights will be operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most modern aircraft in the skies. The new inbound QR21 and outbound QR22 services will operate on Monday and Saturday, bringing the total number of non-stop flights operated per week between Manchester and Doha to 16. The Dreamliner has a two-cabin configuration comprising of 22 seats in Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats, all of which benefit from individual television screens with the latest inflight entertainment. Passengers can also stay connected while travelling with Wi-Fi, which is available throughout the aircraft.

Qatar Airways UK and Ireland Country Manager, Mr. Richard Oliver, said: “Increasing services to and from Manchester will provide our passengers with even more convenient connection times and greater choice when connecting to onward flights through our state-of-the-art Doha hub, Hamad International Airport. Combined with our recent announcement of a new 8-times weekly service from Birmingham, this means that Qatar Airways will operate a total of 73 direct services to Doha a week from the UK providing even more access to 154 destinations worldwide.”

The additional services offer customers in the North West of England enhanced connectivity to Qatar Airways’ exciting new routes to Sydney and Adelaide, with just one quick and efficient connection in Doha.

The flights will also enable those seeking year-round sunshine to take advantage of one of Qatar Airways’ newest routes to the beach resort of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, a beautifully tranquil destination which is sure to delight both thrill seekers and those who simply want to relax and indulge in five-star luxury. Flights to Ras Al Khaimah from Manchester via Doha start at just £300 return.

With the addition of Edinburgh in May last year and a new 8-weekly service from Birmingham launching in April 2016, Qatar Airways will soon serve four destinations in the UK including London Heathrow.
