Roth Bar & Grill gets the show ‘On The Road’

Somerset restaurant Roth Bar & Grill is taking its fire irons, foraged fuel and “field to fork” philosophy on the road as part of a new fire-food finessing dining experience.

Roth On The Road is for those seeking to bring the theatre and fun of fire feasting to a private event or celebration, such as a wedding.

A more eccentric catering option that can pop-up in all manner of unusual locations from vineyards to beaches, the restaurant says Roth On The Road will bring the flair, food and wholesome service from Roth Bar & Grill’s doorstep to yours.

New Satellite Supper Club + New Location Launching 11th May

Introducing a new monthly series of satellite supper clubs starting on 11th May, Roth On The Road will see Chef Steve Horrell elevate the ancestry of outdoor fireside cooking – a craft he has mastered and honed in the grounds of a striking, private location, Roundhill Grange.

Nestled on the outskirts of Bruton, this is the first time that the Grade II listed property will open its doors to the public, and will continue to host a a unique, three-course candle-lit supper, cooked slowly over fire, one Saturday a month.

Setting up at dusk in the grounds of Roundhill Grange, Roth On The Road supper club guests will first enjoy campfire canapés amongst the rolling fields and surrounding acres of natural farmland, before settling down as a group to dinner in the dining room. Celebrating the lost art of cooking over fire and traditional kitchen craft, sample dishes include:

House-made Merguez sausage (with lamb from Roth Bar & Grill’s own Durslade Farm) Cedar Planked fish, burnt honey & fennel salad Whole Durslade Farm Lleyn lamb, green sauce – with charred vegetables Fire-roasted stone fruit or other seasonal orchard bounty, mascarpone, amaretti
