Sopwell House reveals £14m Cottonmill spa development

Opening in summer 2019 following a £14 million investment, Cottonmill is the new three-storey, state-of-the-art, private members’ spa at Sopwell House in Hertfordshire.

Sopwell House says Cottonmill is all about choice and community, bringing together innovative treatments and experiences by British spa brands, contemporary design, diverse relaxation spaces, modern dining and a new spa garden. With two tiers of membership and access, members can choose the wellness experience that suits them, embarking on a completely tailored and exclusive spa experience.

The owners of Sopwell House say they have travelled the globe to handpick the best elements from spa experts and independent treatment centres, adding their own innovative concept to curate a treatment menu like no other.

Cottonmill has partnered with ELEMIS, ESPA and Aromatherapy Associates, while their signature treatments are based around the soothing and healing powers of sand and water, with two new dynamic techniques being introduced upon opening.

Following indulgent treatments, members and guests will have a range of spaces and amenities to continue their spa journey, including rooms to relax and unwind or indulge in a healthy lunch. For those feeling active, make full use of the gym and indoor pool or try out one of the new classes in the spacious studio.

Members and guests of The Club at Cottonmill are encouraged to make the most of the spa’s inner sanctum, including the new Therma Suite, saunas and steam rooms. For further immersion, the Deep Relaxation Room will allow senses to be gently stimulated in a cocoon-like environment.

Designed by award-winning garden designer, Ann-Marie Powell, Cottonmill’s Spa Garden will be a new outside space to enrich the soul and catch up with friends.
