TBR Global Chauffeuring appoints Finance Director to help drive growth

TBR Global Chauffeuring has announced the appointment of Kenny Barclay in the role of Finance Director.

Based in the company’s Glasgow HQ, Barclay will be reporting into Craig Chambers, Group CEO, directing a team and overseeing the strategic financial direction of the business, to deliver on the ambitious growth targets defined in the company’s ‘Road to 2021’ vision.

Prior to joining TBR, Barclay was Group Finance Director of Manorview Hotels and Leisure Group, who own and operate 9 boutique hotels across Central Scotland. He was also Finance Director of Tennent Caledonian Breweries and has held down key roles at some of the world’s leading organisations, including PwC, Arnold Clark Automobiles and Ernst & Young.

This appointment comes at a key time for TBR, as they continue on their global expansion plans. A ninth office is poised to open in Tokyo later this year, as they begin to cater for the growing events market bolstered by large-scale sporting events such as the Rugby World Cup and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Craig Chambers, Group CEO, said: “We are excited for Kenny to join the TBR family at a period of strong sales growth for the business. I am confident the wealth of experience Kenny brings will be of invaluable benefit to us, as we move towards achieving the goals set out in our 2021 vision.”

Barclay: “I am really excited to be joining TBR at a pivotal point in its growth and development. Its ambitions, combined with their core values around quality, customer service, innovation and people, resonate very strongly with me and I believe that these will be central in TBR being able to fulfill its potential. I look forward to being part of the TBR leadership team and shaping a finance function that can provide a strong pillar of support for the business.”
