Tudor Park welcomes new hotel manager Nick Hawkes

Bearsted-based Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club has announced hospitality veteran Nick Hawkes as hotel manager.

Beginning his 27 year long career in hospitality as a Marriott International pastry chef in 1990, Hawkes has worked in some of Europe’s finest hotels from Switzerland and Scandinavia to Germany and France. Previously working as food and beverage director for the Heathrow Marriott, he helped secure the London Venue Award for ‘Best Hotel for Events’ after overseeing the complete refurbishment of the conference and banqueting areas.

Hawkes is delighted to be working within ‘The Garden of England’ at Tudor Park. Between running his photography website and volunteering as a ‘blood biker’ delivering blood to hospitals out of hours, the new manager believes strongly in hard work and patience. As a trained chef with a personal passion for food, having owned an ice sculpturing studio for creating banquet centrepieces and is spending his spare time working on perfecting his sour dough. He is expected to bring his love for food and creative eye to the role.

“Although food has always been a key focus for me, I have a wider remit now,” said Nick Hawkes.

“I can see that Tudor Park is already a great destination for leisure and golf with its spa and golf course, but, with its amazing function and business facilities combined with an inspirational team, I have made it my mission that Tudor Park becomes a `best hotel for events’ in the Kent area and beyond”
