Turn three days of holiday into 10 days off

A cosy fire is common in the Hygge concept

A ‘holiday hack’ by The Telegraph has revealed how you could turn three days of annual leave into 10 days of holiday with some tactical placements. For those who may have just booked off most of their remaining leave on a summer break, taking off three dates this December can see you through to the new year.

Finishing work on Friday, 22 December and booking off the 27th-29th will mean that, thanks to glorious bank holidays, you won’t have to return to the office until 2 January. Of course, this hack doesn’t quite work if your job requires you to work weekends or bank holidays, and if your office already books this time off then you won’t need to worry.

This comes after a similar trick by the Telegraph showed how you could double your holiday time during the Easter period by tactically booking around the bank holidays.

What do you think? Is this a stroke of logical genius, or have you been tactically booking your holidays already? Let us know on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
