Wasing Park opens new covered terrace offering year-round outside space for events

Wasing Park has unveiled a new covered terrace with a floating stretch tent alongside the majestic grade II listed Castle Barn at the exclusive-use events venue in Berkshire.

Adorned with sheepskins, fairy lights, candles and a fire pit, this new area will give guests an alternative alfresco area that can be used all year round. Guests who are less comfortable eating inside will now have the perfect alternative space. The stretch also enables Wasing to offer more dining capacity; up to maximum numbers whenever restrictions are put in place. Their outdoor kitchen creates great theatre too for diners on the terrace.

Wasing Park is located in a quintessentially English setting full of sophistication and elegance. The lovingly restored traditional hamlet features farm buildings sat alongside the Castle Barn, a Granary sat proudly on its staddle stones and a fairy tale Dovecote; all at the heart of this events venue.

With a glass walled Garden Room with bi-folding glass doors, the Stables Lodge with views over the 15th century Parish Church of St Nicholas, luxurious boutique rooms, a breath-taking Penthouse Suite, known as the Hayloft and a late-night bar, simply nothing has been forgotten.

Wasing Events Manager, Lisa Buffery, says the soft uplighters, speakers, heaters and fire pit have made the covered terrace a beautiful and versatile additional space for guests: โ€œThe new covered terrace will provide a more usable space that can be enjoyed all year round. The idea stemmed from the Covid 19 pandemic but it has developed into a very special area for use by our wedding couples and corporate guests and it can seat 50 people for lunch or dinner.โ€

Wasing Park sits at the heart of one of the most diverse rural estates in England. The organic farm and โ€˜Estate to Plateโ€™ ethos, means that Wasing is naturally able to offer the very best, whilst reducing impact on the environment.
