Westminster Venue Collection’s spooky showcase proves a hit

The showcase offered guests the chance to check out the collection’s mix of 35 venues.

Westminster Venue Collection enjoyed a spooky showcase last week, where over 200 event planners got the chance to meet its mix of 35 venues, alongside some ghoulish trick or treat fun.

The showcase, which was held at One Great George Street that is said to also house its very own ghost, saw Viva Live Music’s opera singers perform Phantom of the Opera classics, while some guests had their faces painted by UK Facepainters & Community Giants.

“It was great to see such an impressive turnout. Our annual showcase always provides a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with event planners face-to-face to show what our incredible range of 35 venues have to offer,” said Diane Waldron, chair of Westminster Venue Collection.

“The unique and eclectic mix of our members means our showcases provide a real insight into the breadth of what Westminster can offer. From fashionable townhouses and unique private members’ clubs to luxury hotels, celebrated attractions, historic institutes and societies.”

Prizes were also up for grabs on the night in the trick or treat prize draw, including a dinner cruise for two with Bateaux London, a tour of the Royal Society with afternoon tea for two and dinner for two in the Lansdowne Club’s Dining Room.

Nouvelle Afriyie-Aidoo, from The Chartered Insurance Institute, commented on the evening: “The venue is really pretty, the evening has been good, there’s lots of suppliers and all in all it’s been an informative night – I’ve seen venues we didn’t even know existed.”
