In our fast-paced, always-on workplaces, our minds rarely get a chance to rest. Back-to-back meetings, constant notifications and growing workloads mean employees are more digitally connected than ever – but often creatively and emotionally drained. That’s where mindful creativity workshops comes in…

Recharge and bond at mindful creativity workshops
I’m Eden Fay, and I run mindful art workshops designed to help teams slow down, reconnect and recharge through simple, hands-on creativity. My sessions are zero-pressure, with all the emphasis being on pausing, playing, and finding calm through the gentle process of creating.
Research shows that just 45 minutes of creative activity can significantly lower cortisol levels, the body’s main stress hormone. It doesn’t matter how ‘good’ you are; the act of making art reduces tension and anxiety while boosting dopamine, the brain’s ‘feel-good’ chemical. Isn’t that amazing?!
For teams, the benefits extend beyond the individual. My creative sessions help colleagues connect in a different way. This is done through the shared experience of trying something new together, through curiosity and laughter – rather than Teams and deadlines. They offer a moment of stillness in the working week where everyone can take a breath, allow themselves to refocus and return to their day feeling refreshed.
Here is some feedback I’ve had from previous workplace wellbeing workshops:
“Our team members were encouraged to connect with each other, building a sense of community through crafting and art.” – Lindt UK
“The creative drop-in session offered a calming, welcoming space for colleagues to unwind, connect, and express themselves during lunch hour.” – Mitsui Bussan Commodities
“Eden communicated and supported us well with the planning stage for our activity and delivered a lovely calming session for our employees.” – Diamond Light Source
During my sessions, participants are invited to explore doodling, painting, collaging, stitching, or simply experimenting with colour and texture. I can create bespoke workshops, or you can choose from my ‘greatest hits’! I love how the mood in the room often shifts from curiosity, to quiet focus, to joy.
For neurodivergent team members (like me), creative activities can be especially valuable. They provide a sensory break and expressive outlet that supports regulation and focus – offering a break from the overstimulation and constant demands of a busy workspace.
Mindful creativity makes a perfect festive activity too
And, as we approach the festive season, creativity can also extend beyond the workshop. My Mindful Festive Craft Kits give teams the opportunity to enjoy creative downtime at home or during a team day – simple, fun projects like felt wreaths or garlands designed to help people unwind and create something joyful. I provide all materials and instructions (in video and written form). All you’ll need is a pair of scissors and perhaps a cheesy Christmas jumper.
Whether it’s through a live workshop with me, or a creative kit, the message is the same: creativity is a wellbeing tool. When people are supported to pause and express themselves through making something, they don’t just feel better – they work better, too.
