The benefits of hosting events in the great outdoors

hosting-events-outdoors

Hosting events outdoors offers a multitude of benefits to our well-being that can enhance the overall event experience too.

In our fast-paced lives and in the dynamic world of events, we often find ourselves rushing from one task to another.  We often forget to pause, breathe, and truly connect with ourselves and the world around us.

But as the sun shone brightly on the stunning fields of Hartswood Estate, Be in Your Element designed a special well-being experience. The event was rooted in the ancient wisdom of harnessing the elements of nature – Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Enabling every guest to truly be in their element at the very start of the event.

Surrey woodland is perfect for hosting events outdoors

Venues by Bespoke launched their incredible new 1,500 acres venue; Hartswood Estate. Set in amongst the rolling hillsides of Surrey, with far-reaching views, tranquil lakes and magical woodland, this versatile space offers the flexibility to host events of various sizes and styles. Whether you are looking to unplug and reconnect in nature with award-winning wellness activities or prepare and cook a meal over fire to enjoy a woodland dining feast. This place has it all.

One of the most powerful aspects of Hartwood Estate and our event was how it encouraged guests to disconnect in order to re-connect. By creating a bespoke well-being experience that invited guests to join a ‘wellness walk’. It encouraged everyone to talk and share and really connect with themselves and others as they were led on a journey to experience being in their element.

Firstly we connected with ‘fire’ to ignite creativity and to create their own essential oils spray and herbal tea. We then moved on to inhale these new aromas whilst breathing to the beat of the music as they came up for ‘air’ to experience Beat Breathing to the music as the sun shone on their skin.

After a short stroll past the lakes had guests enter in the enchanted woodland space to get grounded and be connected more to ‘earth’ and bath themselves in nature. Guests ‘forest bathed’ under the trees before concluding the wellness walk with a gentle flow movement session by the side of the stunning lakes. This was perfect for connecting with their inner flow as they moved freely like ‘water’ whilst looking on at the sun setting over on the lake.

How would you feel if your events started with wellness activities?

Events often bring together diverse groups of people who may be dealing with various stressors and pressures. By integrating well-being elements, we acknowledge that attendees are not just passive recipients of information or experiences, but individuals with unique needs. Well-being activities provide a respite from the hustle and bustle, offering a chance for relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation. They enhance the overall event experience, fostering a sense of connection, community, and care among participants. Furthermore, prioritizing well-being can lead to increased engagement, productivity, and satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the success and positive reputation of the event.
