The newly-restored Battel Hall at Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle is now welcoming bookings for conferences and corporate retreats at their newly-restored 14th Century manor-house, Battel Hall. Just over an hour from London, Battel Hall is opening on an exclusive hire basis for the first time in its 700-year history and is situated on the edge of the Leeds Castle estate amongst 500 acres of Kentish parkland.

With on-site accommodation for up to 14 people, Battel Hall offers a private, idyllic setting in which to relax and enjoy exclusively, with the added benefit of access to Leeds Castle’s estate activities and facilities. For larger conferences and meetings held at Leeds Castle, Battel Hall also serves as a perfect break out space with premium accommodation for top executives. Further accommodation is available to book within the Castle grounds.

Upstairs there are five large individually decorated bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms.

A venue for all seasons, Battel Hall is available for hire all-year-round, with private gardens ideal for open-air drinks and open fires to warm the winter nights. Meticulously refurbished, the downstairs area boasts a book-lined drawing room with an open fireplace, a morning room with hand-painted De Gournay wallpaper, and an elegant oak-panelled dining room seating up to 16 people. Upstairs there are five large individually decorated bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. A fine example of Kentish architecture of the middle ages, much of the property’s original details remain, including the arrow-slit windows, intricately carved stone corbels, and a rare decorative laver (or basin) just inside the front door. Each room is decorated using the best of British fabrics and suppliers, enhancing its original 14th Century features with a classic yet contemporary style.

Battel Hall is a truly exceptional addition to Leeds Castle’s already well-established venues, and the team have years of experience in organising corporate events and celebrations.
