The transport Secretary Grant Shapps has agreed the credit notes can be given to people who have had to cancel their holiday due to Corona Virus – however, if people are insisting they want their refund, holiday companies are obliged to reimburse the customer in full.

Emirates is ramping up its network after the UAE lifted limits on transit passengers via Dubai. The long-haul carrier will offer services to 16 more cities from June 15, using Boeing 777-300ERs, including Manchester and Dublin. The airline will be offering flights for passengers on the back of its scheduled cargo operations from Dubai to 29 cities, including Heathrow from June 11.
London City airport is to resume operations from the end of June after a three-month closure. Domestic services to UK cities and are expected to begin first with international flights to follow by early July. But the exact timing may depend on the government 14-day quarantine of passengers arriving into the UK being imposed from Monday. Passengers will be asked to observe social distancing rules wherever possible in the terminal.
