Penelope Alice checks out the hospitality at Doubletree by Hilton Dartford Bridge Hotel

Some PA Life Club members and I won the opportunity to spend the night at the Doubletree by Hilton Dartford Bridge Hotel last weekend, and what a fantastic evening we had.

Upon arrival on Friday afternoon, we were greeted by the hotelโ€™s sales manager, Khushnuma Amalsadiwalla, a round of cocktails and some signature Doubletree cookies โ€“ which were delicious.

After checking into our rooms, we got the chance to take part in some gin-tasting courtesy of the local Copper Rivet Distillery and got to try out its Dockyard Gin โ€“ not being a fan of gin I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was paired with grapefruit and Indian tonic water.

We were then treated to a round of afternoon tea, complete with finger sandwiches and a variety of sweet treats, from scones to fruit tarts.

I couldnโ€™t wait to have a look round the hotel and its facilities. During our stay we were shown its various meeting rooms, including the Elizabeth Suite, Bexley, Hextable and Tilbury, which were all fully equipped with the latest AV and natural daylight.

The variety of rooms can cater for large parties, such as Christmas or summer balls, while the smaller meeting rooms would be suitable for breakfast meetings or smaller conferences. There really is something here for every organisation.

Plus, thanks to the hotelโ€™s central location โ€“ itโ€™s positioned next to the Dartford Bridge with Stone Crossing train station just a short drive away โ€“ the Doubletree is in a prime location for corporate customers.

There is also a leisure club on site, complete with a sauna, swimming pool and gym, to provide guests with a space to unwind during busy periods. The general manager also informed me that they have plans to introduce more treatment rooms in the future, so Iโ€™ll definitely need to return to check out those as they are a great option for an incentive gift.

After our show around and a quick trip back to our hotel rooms to freshen up, it was time to put our cocktail making to the test. The bartenders showed the PAs and I how to create the iconic Cosmopolitan cocktail and the drink of the moment โ€“ the Pornstar Martini.

After we perfected our concoctions, we headed into a private room to begin our three-course dinner. We dined on air-dried beef and a rocket salad for the starter and a leg of duck with all the trimmings for our main. This was finished off with a decadent chocolate mousse โ€“ I think itโ€™s fair to say we filled our bellies with all the delicious food.

The evening was a fantastic way to showcase the Doubletree hotel and what it can offer corporate clients, from the mouth-watering food to the variety of meeting spaces available on site. We all had a memorable time and I canโ€™t wait to return here for future events.

Thanks again to the team at the Doubletree!
