Twickenham launches #sharetwickers campaign to celebrate shared experience at iconic sporting venue

Twickenham Experience has partnered with its official caterer Levy Restaurants UK to launch a campaign to celebrate and share memorable food and drink experiences at the home of England rugby. The #sharetwickers campaign launched last night at an exclusive VIP dinner for media in the England changing rooms at Twickenham Stadium, and will encourage fans, delegates and diners to share their memories and experiences at the stadium on social media.

With a strong focus on food and culinary experiences at the stadium, the campaign aims to highlight and capture the emotion behind the experience at the iconic venue, whether attending for business or pleasure. As part of the campaign, Twickenham Experience is creating a range of sharing food options for conferences, events and match day hospitality to further support the theme of teamwork, one of the RFU’s five core values. There will be a series of further initiatives launched throughout the coming months as the rugby season kicks off in earnest, including social media competitions.

James Lee, Head of Sales and Marketing at Twickenham Experience says: “People who come to Twickenham Stadium are drawn by the vibrant passion that is integral to the game of rugby. When it comes to business events here, we know that the hallowed turf inspires even the non-rugby enthusiast. We want to encourage delegates, fans and celebratory diners to share what makes Twickenham special to them.

“Great food is a key aspect at the heart of a great experience, whether for a business event or attending match day hospitality. Our corporate clients are often amazed when they see how many match day covers we serve – often in the thousands – and all of the highest quality. We wanted to shine a light on our food offering and encourage our guests to share their experiences.”

Anna Fenten, Head of Marketing at Levy Restaurants UK adds: “We are proud to be the official caterer at Twickenham, the largest dedicated Rugby Union venue in the world. By supporting the #sharetwickers campaign, we are looking forward to demonstrating how exceptional food and drink can transform the match day experience for our guests, capturing the raw essence of the game and leaving joyous memories that beg to be repeated.”

Visitors to the stadium, whether they be fans eating at one of the 33 food kiosks, 25 suites, or 150 hospitality and private boxes can expect nothing less than sensational food that is prepared onsite, fresh and seasonal. In addition to this, the stadium’s world-class conferencing facilities offer a range of events from small lunch meetings to international conferences, product launches and weddings”.

In the 2015/16 season, Twickenham Experience served more than 16,000 hospitality covers during match days, 625 corporate events with some 69,000 guests and served a wide range of menu options to cater for all tastes.
