ACADEMIC VENUES: Keele University Events and Conferencing

Keele University Events and Conferencing is an award-winning academic venue with a wide range of meetings rooms and exhibition space which can cater for events up to 600 delegates. The extensive conferencing and leisure facilities onsite provide a vast selection of options for event organisers and the in-house events team will tailor their service to meet organisers’ requirements, making each event truly unique.

We offer a diverse range of facilities from the impressive Grade II listed Keele Hall, to several large flexible spaces across the campus. Keele Hall is home to the largest banqueting facility in Staffordshire, seating up to 400 guests, and also offers smaller rooms for private dining, pre-dinner drinks receptions and of course, day meetings. The impressive views of the Italian gardens and the Hall’s rich heritage make this a truly special venue for awards dinners, galas, private dining, board meetings and networking events.

The events spaces across the campus include five tiered lecture theatres, extensive exhibition space, and meeting rooms or various sizes. In addition, specialist facilities are available at the David Weatherall Medical School building and the Veterinary Science School.

Considered the most innovative space on campus, the Denise Coates Foundation Building is part of the Business School and is home to the Smart Innovation Hub which offers Keele’s first Harvard style theatre for up to 62 delegates, and two additional boardrooms with video conferencing facilities. Other facilities include a 208-seater lecture theatre, study spaces, café, and business lounges, all purpose-built spaces for students and businesses alike. The learning environment here is one of business-oriented innovation, so this venue is ideal for events that require delegates to think outside the box!

New to the campus is the Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire hotel on the campus which opened in February 2021. There are now 150 hotel bedrooms available all year round, two meeting rooms for up to 30 delegates, the Scholars Restaurant and Bar and a fitness centre. There are also 1,400 campus accommodation rooms available during the vacation periods which can be combined with various event spaces to create large residential events.
