Butlin’s sales team impresses at International Confex

March welcomed International Confex back to ExCel London and gave Butlin’s a chance to bring the resort experience to the show. Visitors to the stand enjoyed an in-depth visual tour full of new content of all three resorts, including Studio 36, a fully flexible, state-of-the-art venue designed to provide customisable solutions for all client event needs.

The show was also an opportunity to introduce the new Butlin’s conference and events team to the industry, demonstrating the strength of Butlin’s new proposition.

International Confex was the first major tradeshow for Dan Elliott as Conferences & Events Sales Manager for Butlin’s since joining the team from Center Parcs last year. Elliott is well respected in the industry a brings a new energy to Butlin’s following the relaunch of the conferences and events offering last year.

Elliott said “We were really pleased to be at Confex this year. It was exciting to see so many familiar faces and make lots of new agency and corporate contacts.  Confex enabled us to reintroduce Butlin’s to the industry with our new offering and to show off our amazing Studio 36 venue. Butlin’s offers peace of mind for event planners, bringing everything from best-in-class AV, entertainment, catering and accommodation together in one place, all supported by an incredible in-house team.”

Led by Nick Tipper, Butlin’s has a team of dedicated event managers with a wealth of experience at each of the three resorts, ensuring that event organisers have a single point of contact to support their experience from start to finish. Cat Turnbull, Sales Manager at Bognor Regis, and Georgina Sanderson Studt, Conferences & Events Manager at Skegness, were also on the stand at Confex to introduce the innovative solutions Butlin’s resorts can offer.

Studt said: “It was my first time at Confex. The show gave me a real opportunity to showcase everything Skegness has to offer when it comes to conferences and events. I was able to engage with people on stand and explain in depth exactly what Skegness can offer potential clients. I had lots of discussions about our in-house products and services and the different venue space we have available on resort, including Studio 36 which certainly gives us that wow factor.”

Studt and the event managers at other resorts are brilliantly reinforced by up to 1,000 team members on-site, so no matter the challenge, Butlin’s creates a memorable event for organisers and clients. All three Butlin’s resorts are also now AIM certified, so event planners can be confident that whether they are in Bognor Regis, Minehead or Skegness, using Studio 36, Centre Stage or the fairgrounds, they are guaranteed an industry certified standard of services.
