‘Instagram butlers’ employed at Maldives hotel

A hotel in the Maldives has brought in ‘Instagram butlers’ to help guests get the best shots for their social media.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has introduced a new #InstaTrail around the resort, with knowledgeable team members helping guests to discover the most picturesque locations. Looking out for the perfect photo opportunities and teaching visitors techniques to look the best online. Promising many memorable, ‘grammable moments, guests can tee up their tour with a yoga class directed by the resort’s resident yogi where they will be taught the best poses to capture on camera set against a myriad of ocean hues.

The hotel is hoping to encourage guests to watch and capture images of shooting stars for an hour under the stars of the world-class Astro-tourism site, induce food envy amongst followers whilst learning how to make dumplings at celebrity chef restaurant Ufaa by Jereme Leung in a three hour cookery class, or go island hopping through the local atolls and connect with Maldivian culture in a five hour itinerary.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island offers the popular Conrad Concierge mobile app, which gives global luxury travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during, and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it is pre-selecting bath amenities or checking in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features by using the app.
