PAs to benefit from two-hour extended lunch break at the Conference and Hospitality Show 2016

Attendees at The Conference and Hospitality Show

The Conference and Hospitality Show has launched a concentrated two-hour programme for PAs to get the most out of the show during an extended lunch break. The show takes place on Tuesday, 26 April in Central Leeds at the world-class First Direct Arena and has been created specifically to help busy PAs improve their skills, connect with peers and discover new contacts.

Emma Cartmell, Managing Director of CHS group comments: “Everyone is so time poor these days, so we have created a show that allows busy PAs to achieve a lot in a short period of time. We have moved to the very central First Direct Arena to make it easier for Leeds-based PAs to walk over to the show and we have also created a concentrated two-hour programme to show them how much they can achieve in a long lunch break.”

The PA extended lunch break runs from 12pm to 2pm and features:

  • 12 – 12.45pm: Network with your peers in the First Direct Lounge. Find out which companies are on their radar, which training worked for them and share your tips and tricks too. Then be entertained as you grab some lunch and plan your itinerary.
  • 12.45 – 1.30pm: Be wowed by Dalya Perry-Bernstein and her education session: “Conference Planning from Thought to Finish”. Dayla will talk about her background and discuss particular meetings and conferences she has organised, including potential pit falls and how to avoid them. She will also cover the importance of negotiating with venues to get the best deal and shares her successes and tips of how to organise a memorable conference.
  • 1.30 – 2pm: Update your little black book of contacts by meeting with our huge array of suppliers on the show floor. More than 200 venues, hotels, technology providers and many other national meeting industry suppliers will be there under one roof. New exhibitors for 2016 include Titanic Hotel and Rum Warehouse, the Devonshire Hotel, the Lowry Hotel and technology provider Cvent.

If PAs can stay a little longer, from 1.30 to 2.15pm Liz Taylor, television’s Millionaire Party Planner will share her experiences and anecdotes from a 30-year career and then enjoy the After Show Party – hosted in style by Sandals & Beaches Resorts.

The event has a well-established hosted buyer programme and offers either fully hosted or VIP status. VIP tickets are allocated to PAs who can travel to the show on the day, but if journey time is over one hour then PAs can apply to become a hosted buyer and receive complimentary accommodation the night before the show. Both VIPs and Hosted Buyers benefit from:

  • Back Stage Pass Experience – access to special areas of the event just for VIPs
  • Complimentary food and beverages throughout the day
  • VIP Pack sent prior to the show with special prize draws only available to VIPs
  • VIP Pass for the show allowing you a one hour preview of the show before the doors open to the public
  • Complimentary Leeds City Centre parking
  • VIP goody bag.

CHS gives PAs access to a huge range of national suppliers and a comprehensive programme of specific education – right on their doorstep, all in one day. Doors open at 9.15am.
