The iconic Royal York Hotel, located adjacent to York mainline rail station, has teamed up with Virgin Trains East Coast to launch a new premium package for meeting and conference delegates.
The ‘All You Can Meet’ package offers a seamless one-stop booking service for meetings at the newly refurbished Royal York Hotel, combined with delegate rail travel on the Virgin Trains East Coast mainline.
The package, available immediately, includes a 24-hour rate at the hotel as well as rail travel and aims to take the stress out of arranging a meeting; eliminating the need to make separate reservations for meeting space, accommodation and travel for delegates. With the shortest journey time from London Kings Cross being an hour and 51 minutes, the hotel is conveniently located for delegates travelling from across the length of the UK.
When booking the package with The Royal York Hotel, seats and even whole carriages can be reserved in Virgin Trains East Coast Standard and First Class. On arrival at York mainline station, delegates will be met by a representative from the hotel events team and a porter, who will escort guests into the hotel for check in, which is directly accessed from Platform 4 at the station, or to their meeting room.
Voted 2016 Hotel of the Year and 2016 Conference Venue of the Year in the Visit York Tourism awards, the 155 bedroom Royal York Hotel has a dedicated event centre, which can accommodate up to 410 delegates theatre-style, 300 for a banquet, 250 for a dinner and dance and 180 cabaret-style. An additional 11 meeting and event rooms include the Oak Room, which can accommodate up to 160 delegates theatre-style.
Outside of their meeting, delegates can enjoy the hotel’s stunning Garden Room – boasting views of the Minster – the new Chapter House Bar, or the Refectory Kitchen & Terrace and make use of laptop and mobile charging points and free wifi before embarking on their return journey.
