This year the awards has introduced several new categories to commemorate the show’s 10th anniversary.
The annual Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS) Awards are now open to receive entries for 2019, where hotels, venues, suppliers and buyers from the hospitality industry are given the chance to be recognised for their efforts.
To commemorate the fifth year of the awards, as well as the 10th anniversary of The Conference and Hospitality Show, organisers have introduced ten new categories.
Alongside established award categories for Best Independent Venue or Hotel, Best Catering Provider and Best External Event Space, new for 2019 includes Rising Star, Best UK Conventions Centre, Best Conference Planner Awards and Lifetime Achievement.
“The new-look awards are more aligned to us as a business and our future direction of travel. We have learned a lot over the last ten years and have matured as a business. This has given us a clear strategy and understanding of how we want to continue to grow and develop,” said Emma Cartmell, CEO of CHS Group UK.
“We think the new award categories are progressive and incorporate how our business and the industry have changed over the last decade.
“Introducing new categories, such as Lifetime Achievement and Unsung Hero, allow us to shine a light on those, who consistently deliver great service and can often be the backbone of a business, but rarely get the recognition they deserve.”
The awards will be judged by an independent panel of 50 event and hospitality experts, plus, nominees can enter as many categories as they wish.
The awards are free to enter, and will see nominations close on March 1, 2019. This will then be followed by the shortlist announcement on April 29, while the awards ceremony will take place on June 6 at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
PA Life will also have a key presence on the show floor, where the team will be on hand to showcase the latest issue of PA Life, as well as limited edition discounts to join the PA Life Club.
