Westminster Venue Collection invites event organisers to a Halloween showcase

The Westminster Venue Collection is hosting a spooky showcase this October with their haunted ‘Hallo-Westminster’ event.

Located at One Great George Street, event planners and organisers will be offered the chance to learn more about 35 venues on offer, all withing a venue believed to have its own resident ghost.

Chair of Westminster Venue Collection, Diane Waldron said: “Our annual showcase always offers a fantastic opportunity for event planners to meet and discuss face-to-face their forthcoming requirements with a range of venues at one event,” said Diane Waldron, Chair of Westminster Venue Collection. “With fashionable townhouses and private members’ clubs to luxury hotels, celebrated attractions, historic institutes and societies all based in the iconic city of Westminster, whether they’re organising a conference, hosting a meeting, running an exhibition, or planning a wedding reception or other celebration, the collection offers the perfect location.”

Plenty of the buildings showcased are said to have haunted histories. Staff at The Lansdowne Club claim to have heard the venue’s Grand Piano playing ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square’ on its own, while IET;London is said to be haunted by war-time comedy actress Billie Carleton. Broadway House’s former housekeeper, Mrs Wilcoxson, is also rumoured to take the lift from the sixth floor every day at 6am and 6pm.

“This year, with the Hallo-Westminster theming, the event offers bookers the opportunity to discover and network with some unique and unusual venues, while having the chance to win some great prizes and experiences,” continued Waldron. “We’re really looking forward to everyone entering into the spirit of the evening.”

The event will take place on October 24th, will we see you there? Let us know on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
