Give your team a meaningful gift: mindful craft kits that help your people truly unwind

As the festive season approaches, many businesses are looking for thoughtful ways to thank their employees after a long, demanding year. With inboxes overflowing and energy running low, what our colleagues often need most isn’t another branded mug or bottle of wine – it’s time to breathe. Mindful craft kits for teams are a great way to do just that…

And that’s where mindful craft kits and workshops can make a real difference.

I’m Eden Fay, and I help teams slow down and recharge through mindful art workshops and festive craft kits. These experiences offer something that’s often missing from the modern workplace: hands-on creativity that supports wellbeing, promotes mindfulness and brings people together in a calm, playful way.

Each Mindful Festive Craft Kit contains a simple, fun project – like a hand-stitched felt wreath, a string of colourful fairy lights (which are great for adorning your desk all year round!), or soft felt baubles. They include everything needed (except scissors), along with step-by-step instructions and access to a guided video. They’re tactile, relaxing, and achievable for absolutely everyone – even those who say “I’m not creative.”

What are the benefits of giving mindful craft kits for teams?

There’s science behind why this works. Research shows that just 45 minutes of making art can lower cortisol levels (our main stress hormone) and boost dopamine, the brain’s “feel-good” chemical. The result is less tension, improved focus, and a greater sense of calm. In a workplace context, that can mean better concentration, less burnout, and happier teams.

These kits can be enjoyed individually as a wellbeing gift or used as part of a shared creative experience. Imagine a relaxed team afternoon – whether in the office or online – where everyone makes, chats, and unwinds together. (Okay, we can use that branded mug for a nice cuppa!) No pressure, no performance, just the joy of creating. It’s a refreshingly simple way to connect across departments, time zones, or hybrid teams.

“Our team members were encouraged to connect with each other, building a sense of community through crafting and art.” – Lindt UK

“The creative drop-in session offered a calming, welcoming space for colleagues to unwind, connect, and express themselves during lunch hour.” – Mitsui Bussan Commodities

“Eden communicated and supported us well with the planning stage for our activity and delivered a lovely calming session for our employees.” – Diamond Light Source

The response from teams has been remarkable. People often start hesitant – worried about ‘getting it right’ – but quickly relax into the process. The chatter softens, the pace slows, and there’s this gentle shared focus that feels worlds away from the usual workday rhythm. It’s not about making something perfect – it’s about how you feel while you make it. And what a bonus to have something created by you at the end.

For neurodivergent employees (like me), creative, sensory activities can also support focus and self-regulation. They offer a supportive way to recharge.

Whether through a hands-on craft kit or a guided mindful art workshop, these experiences go beyond traditional gifts. They show your team that you value not just their productivity, but their wellbeing. And in a season often defined by rush and reward, that message of genuine care can have a lasting impact.

When people are given the space to pause and create, they don’t just feel better – they show up better. So this year, maybe skip the wine. And give your team something that helps them truly unwind.
