4 tips to help you find a job you love

Tips to find a job you love

If you’re unhappy in your current role for whatever reason and you’ve tried everything to fix the situation, perhaps it’s time to move on. To help you pick your dream job, the team at Webrecruit has put together four tips to find a job you love.

1 Find what motivates you
What makes you want to go to work every day? Is there one factor that keeps you motivated and happy? Think about what that thing is and try to find a job that lets you take full advantage of it.

2 Think about what industry you’re passionate about
If you’re having trouble pinning down the exact role you want (or you’re not getting anywhere thanks to the confusion of the PA job title), think about looking for jobs in a specific industry instead. Find an industry you’re passionate about and research jobs in that sector so you can tailor your CV.

3 Focus on your strengths
What skills do you have that others might not? Is there something you do really well that will make you stand out? Find a job that matches your own strengths and also gives you the chance to learn new things – if that’s what you want.

4 Ask around
Talk to your network of fellow PAs and your friends to find out if there’s a company they recommend. Having somebody who has experienced working for an employer is invaluable, as it will help you discover whether or not an organisation’s culture matches your personality.
