Metro Ecosse – who will be attending the London Events Summit in October – were recently asked by the Growth Conference 2019 to create an event that put personal interaction at it’s heart; focusing on experiential content, networking and choice – Here’s how they did it…
The Growth Conference 2019 was being held at The 5-star Gleneagles Arena, Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire, utilising their Arena and outdoor space.
Transforming the arena to create a contemporary, interactive conference and experience space where delegates could network and interact with the presentations was vital. We were also required to push the boundaries of Presentation space beyond the ‘norm’.
The audience gathered from across the globe and consisted of 175 Senior Managers across all areas of the business.
Our approach was to use drape and create two distinct areas; Conference and Exhibition. The conference space was designed “in the round” to allow complete inclusion to all delegates, making them truly feel a part of the event.
Using a 360degree LED wall and round stage achieved the inclusive look and feel the client imagined. The soft seating was placed in a circle around the stage adding to the relaxed and experiential atmosphere of the event. The exhibition and syndicate room area was created using a number of ‘mini-experience pods’, allowing delegates to take part in sessions and network.
We also worked closely with our client to produce a huge amount of bespoke content for the 360 degree LED wall, which included walk-up stings, animated logos, videos and graphics. The content was a vital part of the delegate experience, engaging them over 3 days. Filming took place throughout the event and an on-site editing and graphics creation combined to form a closing video shown at the final session of the event, alongside video that will be used for marketing purposes.
The outcome of the project was a phenomenal success. Creating a conference space “in the round” exceeded the clients expectations.
The Chief Executive, Delegates and Events Team were hugely impressed with the event we produced for them, saying that: “We push the boundaries for them every year, but this year we absolutely smashed it!”
Our focus on exceeding expectations by using our creative and technical expertise produced an event centred on personal interaction, experiential content and networking.
