Plan a visit to The Meetings Show

Meetings and events professionals are being encouraged to plan their visit to The Meetings Show now, so they can maximise their time and get the most out of the two-day event.

The UK’s leading show that brings together the events, meetings and incentives industry, will take place live at London’s ExCeL, as well as virtually on 30 September and 1 October.

PAs and EAs will have the chance to meet with the show’s extensive exhibitor line-up to find out about the best location and venues for their next meeting or event and learn about technology to support it.

Destinations from around the world exhibiting include Denmark, Malta, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, while the UK will be represented by VisitBritain, VisitScotland and VisitWales as well as many regional destinations – from Newcastle Gateshead and Liverpool to London and Brighton.

Venues and venue collections such as Telford International Centre, ICC Wales, Imago Venues, Lime Venue Portfolio and Westminster Collection will be ready to meet with buyers, both in person and virtually, alongside many of the world’s largest hotel groups.

Technology suppliers, including Cvent, Eventbrite and Slido will also be on hand to talk about the latest event technology that can support live events and produce virtual ones.

Any PA or EA looking to boost their knowledge of the sector, stay on top of trends and gather tips on how to develop themselves and their businesses should set aside time on both days to attend some of the many educational sessions on offer.

The inspiring education programme, curated by The Meetings Show’s new conference and content manager Erica Oghoghorie and delivered live and streamed, will provide support and insight to event professionals as they set out to rebuild the industry.

To simplify the planning process, education sessions are categorised under five learning streams: Innovation and Industry Trends; My Career and Personal Development; Event Marketing; Event Design and Event Technology.

The show will also provide ample opportunities for networking, both in-person and virtually to reunite those across the sector and help them forge new connections

Jack Marczewski, event director for The Meetings Show, said: “Nothing beats the power of live events where new connections and collaborations are formed, so we’re really excited to be able to welcome and facilitate those all-important face-to-face meetings in a secure environment featuring enhanced cleaning and hygiene protocols alongside other safety measures such as social distancing.

“We have a packed education programme organised, hundreds of exhibitors ready to exhibit, networking opportunities being created and many other exciting features planned, so we recommend registering now so you can start to plan ahead for what will no-doubt be a very busy and productive event.”
