5 ways to boost your body confidence – Live from the London PA Summit

Nobody feels confident all the time, millions of Brits struggle with the way they look every day, but why do we do it? Talking at the London PA Summit, life coach and hypnotherapist Caroline Wellingham from Raise the Bar wants people to embrace their bodies and work on their own positivity.

Be your best friend
Would you talk to your best friend about their body in a demeaning way? Would you still be best friends with someone who spoke to you the way you talk to yourself? Change the way you talk to yourself. Treat yourself like your own best friend, not your worst enemy.

Feel fantastic
Do something that makes you feel brilliant in a small way. Whether that’s talking to an old friend, petting a dog or getting your hair done, give yourself that little lift because you’ll find your personality reflecting the way you feel inside.

Detox from social media
Take time to stop and log out of social media. Stop living your life based on what you show off on social media, and stop trying to compete with others. Everyone is lying on social media, remember this.

Pretend to be confident
You may not feel like a confident person, but other people don’t know that. People don’t see you the way you see yourself, if you pretend to be the person you want to be, odds are that’s how others will see you.

Value yourself
Remember you’re worth every second and every penny you invest in yourself. Make the choice to exercise and challenge yourself, push yourself out of the comfort zone and find out what makes you strive. If you don’t like a certain kind of exercise, that doesn’t mean you hate all exercise, so keep searching, exploring and discovering.
