Heritage venue Trinity House – also the working home of the General Lighthouse Authority – is now accepting bookings for conferences, small business meetings and corporate events in line with new Government guidelines in either of the two larger functions rooms.
Further to the recent requirements, Trinity House has an NHS QR Code which should be scanned and activated by all event attendees and visiting suppliers (via the NHS βappβ downloaded to mobile devices) with data stored by the NHS for up to 21 days to assist tracing procedures, should these become necessary.
Trinity House has been issued with Visit BritainβsΒ βGood To Goβ Certificate of Assurance β βa self-assessment scheme that has been designed by Visit Englandβ¦ to provide a βring of confidenceβ for all sectors of the tourism industry, as well as reassurance to visitors that businesses have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness and social distancingβ. In addition, the MIA (Meetings Industry Association) has issued the venue with their βSecure Accreditationβ Certificate to confirm it has passed their stringent requirements for same.
While Trinity House was closed during the Covid lockdown, stringent cleaning and disinfectant measures were put in place including a new and on-going schedule of commercial βfoggingβ β the sterilisation and de-contamination of all internal surfaces with a light chemical mist which has been rigorously tested and proven to be non-harmful to humans, animals, plants, electrical equipment, artefacts and antiques, including paintings.
Other measures in place include the installation of an internal one-way pedestrian route; more windows open to encourage the flow of fresh air, and the increased employment – while the venue is occupied and in use – of dedicated staff to clean βhigh touch pointsβ (door handles, taps, coat rails, basins and benches etc) using the same fogging disinfectant solution. In addition, Trinity House has purchased a βtemperature gunβ which will be available for use by staff and clients upon request.
As standing receptions are currently prohibited, guests will be advised to maintain a one-metre+ βsocial distanceβ and spaced seating will be arranged for all events.
Trinity House aims to increase bookings of βhybridβ events (combining nominal physical attendance with an enhanced digital presence) subsequent to the installation of high speed wi-fi.
