Interview: Get festive this season with Mecca Bingo

The thrill of waiting for your number to be called is something every avid bingo player is familiar with, but why not consider a night at the bingo for your next festive bash? Caroline Webb, spokesperson for Mecca Bingo, reveals why the game can provide a fun alternative for corporate clients and employees.

What types of Christmas packages can Mecca offer?
We have two party packages available; one with a two-course dinner and one with buffet-style party platters. In addition, we offer vegetarian options for both packages.

Are there any last-minute Christmas options available for PAs to consider?
We take bookings throughout the festive season and all our venues have lots of capacity, meaning Mecca is a great last-minute option for this year’s festivities.

Is Christmas the biggest party season for Mecca?
Yes absolutely, although we have events all year round.

Why is Mecca looking to tap into the PA industry?
Bingo is a fun night out and a game that everyone can join in with. Until they’ve played people don’t appreciate how much fun bingo is and the thrill of waiting for that final number to be called.

You mentioned everything is available under one roof, from food and entertainment. Why is it so important for you to offer this?
We want people to have a brilliant experience when they come to Mecca, we want them to eat, drink, play and win.

What types of prizes are up for grabs?
Depending on whether you win one line, two lines or a full house, we have cash prizes going into thousands of pounds and a top prize of £50k up for grabs on the national game.

Does either of the 84 Mecca Clubs across the UK offer meeting spaces?
Yes, lots of our clubs have spaces that can be used for meetings and events.

Do you have plans to open any additional spaces in the future?
Not at present, we have just opened three new bingo cafes under our Luda brand – there may well be more soon. Watch this space.

Anything else you’d like to add?
