These are the most popular artists and songs to work to – in the office and at home

Working remotely during the pandemic has meant that more people are opting for a hybrid working routine – doing a combination of working from home and from the office, allowing for more flexibility than ever. With the social pressures and office politics forgotten, remote working has allowed people to enjoy listening to their guilty pleasure songs that they may not be comfortable playing in the office.

Premier Inn has analysed over 69,000 songs from 832 ‘remote’ and ‘in-office’ playlists on Spotify to reveal which songs, artists and genres are most popular for all working environments.

The top 10 most popular songs for office workers

  1. Closer – The Chainsmokers
  2. Shape of You – Ed Sheeran
  3. Happier – Marshmello

The top most popular 50 songs to listen to while office working averaged a BPM of 110, with more ‘classic’ artists including Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison and Journey featuring in the list.
