2. Winners revealed at Yorkshire PA of the Year Awards
Teams and individuals from across Yorkshire celebrated at last night as the winners of 18 categories were announced at the Yorkshire PA of the Year Awards, held at The Pavilion, Leeds United Football Ground – a ceremony headlined by former PA to John Lennon, May Pang and BBC Look North’s Tanya Arnold.

A survey commissioned by The Open University (OU) has revealed that one in four of the UK public is guilty of serial time wasters. Nearly three quarters (75%) of us claim to have more than 20 hours of free time every week, yet one in four (25%) admit to frittering away more than half of this spare time.

As a journalist who’s out of the office quite a bit, I’ve become attached to my phone and I’m sure most PAs can appreciate what that feels like. I’ve also learned from writing for this audience that switching off to take a break from technology now and then is essential for maintaining my sanity.
